Data terbaru menunjukkan peningkatan Indeks Pembangunan Gender (IPG) Kota Samarinda, dari 90,40 pada 2022 menjadi 91,01 pada 2024, mendekati IPG nasional sebesar 91,85. Sementara itu, Indeks Ketimpangan Gender (IKG) menunjukkan penurunan dari 0,411 pada 2018 menjadi 0,237 pada 2023, meski terjadi sedikit kenaikan tahun terakhir yang menjadi perhatian.

Peningkatan IPG dan penurunan IKG menunjukkan kemajuan, namun masih diperlukan upaya terintegrasi untuk mempercepat kesetaraan gender. Oleh karena itu, inovasi berupa PUTARAN (Pusat Pembelajaran Perempuan) adalah salah satu solusi strategis pemberdayaan perempuan secara menyeluruh.
